07.10.25 I've got a plan.

On Wednesday night I'll fly from Mexico city to Tijuana. I was hesitant to do a border crossing on foot, mostly because the available flights arrive at midnight, but I've just spoken to a friend I made in Tokyo who says it's safe, and that I can crash at his in San Diego!

So I have the next location. San Diego is a perfect first stop. A liberal coast, sheltered from the wide frying pan that is the state of Arizona by a long wall of mountains starting in Mexico, and widening into vast parks in California.

For a couple of weeks I can move up and down the coast digging the scenes (so Kerouac).
Los Angeles, San Jose, Fresno, San Francisco, and eventually the hills. Yosemite park,

Some kids just called me a Gringo frijole as they jumped into the door to the building I'm leaning on.
